2nd IVFRT Workshop was conducted during 6th-7th February 2014 at DGP Office, Police Bhawan, Gandhinagar – the state capital of Gujarat to share the developments of IVFRT Modules, create awareness of state-wide IVFRT rollout and achievements. More than 140 participants comprising of FRO officials, State Home Department, Bureau of Immigration, Additional DGP Intelligence officials had participated in this workshop program.

Workshop-cum-Training was inaugurated by Sh. AK Chaudhary, IPS, DIG (Intelligence) and Nodal Officer, Gujarat State for IVFRT Project. He welcomed all the Participants of FRO, NIC & BOI officials. During his address he stressed on the importance of IVFRT project and activities needed to carry out by FRO officials on routine basis. He also appreciated the role of NIC Team involved in the implementation of IVFRT project in Gujarat.

Sh. Himanshu P Mehta, State Coordinator, IVFRT Project started the training session by delivering presentation on brief introduction of IVFRT project and its importance, objective of NeGP IVFRT-MMP and also highlighted the rollout of IVFRT modules in Gujarat.

Sh. Viren S Makodiya gave training on PRC System. He explained the whole process of PRC system and clarified the technical issues raised by the FRO officials.

Sh. Neeraj Nama had given training on Form-C and S-Form implementations. He explained the each process and steps included in Form-C and S-Form. Sh. Anburaj Natarajan took session on VPN Token and WebEx. He explained about the importance of VPN token and safe guidelines to use the VPN token. He also demonstrated Cisco WebEx - a remote connectivity utility to access remote machines for FRO online support on timely basis.

Sh. Himanshu P Mehta explained National Database on Arms Licences (NDAL) Project, as a part of IVFRT project. He also provided guidance for Indian Citizenship Online Application. Sh. Rajendra Kumar, CHIO, BOI Ahmedabad also addressed FRO officials. He started interacted with FRO officials and shared the role of BOI in IVFRT and guided the users for queries raised. Sh. Gujan Vohra (I/C under Secretary-Foreigners) from State Home Department Gujarat with their officers are also remain present during the training session. Sh. Ritesh Patel (PI) F Branch, DGP office, Gandhinagar and his team organized the complete event successfully with all arrangements for two days. He thanked all the participants from FRO and other departments for participating the workshop and NIC officials for giving for Knowledge delivering.
