Launch of IVFRT-MMP at Khajuraho (Chhatarpur) on 30/01/2014
Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, famous for its exquisitely carved temples in stones, attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world and is one of the most popular tourist destinations of India. Accordingly, this site was selected as one of the pilot sites for implementation of the Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT) Mission Mode Project of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The C-Form Module (for hotels) has been launched in a workshop held under the supervision of Superintendent of Police-Cum-District Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO), Chhatarpur Shri Lalit Shakyawar at the Bundela Hall of Hotel Chandela at Khajuraho on 30/01/2014. Also present as the guest of honour was the District Collector, Chhatarpur Dr. Masood Akthar, SDM Rajnagar Shri Harvansh Sharma, SDOP Khajuraho Shri Kailash Nahata, District Informatics Officer (DIO) NIC-Chhatarpur Smt. Rachna Shrivastava, the NIC Madhya Pradesh State Coordinator of IVFRT Project Shri Koshy John and other officials of FRO, Chhatarpur.
This workshop was attended by more than 50 representatives of various hotels, dharmashalas and guest houses of Khajuraho and Chhatarpur, who were imparted practical training of C-Form Module by the NIC State Coordinator of IVFRT Project Shri Koshy John assisted by the DIO NIC-Chhatarpur Smt. Rachna Shrivastava. In his Keynote address, the District S.P. Shri Lalit Shakyawar stressed on the importance of the IVFRT system with respect to the security of the country. He directed the participating hoteliers to register and use the new online C-Form submission system at the earliest. District Collector Dr Masood Akthar expressed the view that the new system will prove to be a milestone as far as foreigner facilitation and their security is concerned.
The system was launched with the online approval of the authorization request of the host hotel by Dr. Masood Akthar. The queries raised by the participants were addressed to during the feedback session. There was an enthusiastic response to the project as the participants felt the new system was in accordance with the need of the hour and all the hoteliers were very eager to start using the new system. Such was the enthusiasm that some of the hotels got themselves registered and started entering their C-Forms online on the inaugural day itself. The officials of FRO, Chhatarpur were given hands-on training of the C-FRO Module which provides online services to the Foreigner like Registration, Visa Extension, Return Visa, Exit Permit, Visa Conversion, etc. With this launch, Chhatarpur has become the fourth district in Madhya Pradesh to get connected to the IVFRT system.
