District Magistrate, Hardoi Shri A.K Dwivedi inaugurated the single window kiosk at tehsil Sadar on 1st April 2013.  Computerized Caste, Income and Domicile Certificates will be issued to the citizens from these Kiosks. The computerized certificate delivery system has multiple benefits over the manual process, previously an applicant had to make multiple visits to the concerned office and wait in long queues to obtain a certificate. Now the certificates will be delivered from the kiosk and the state government has also fixed the maximum time frame within which the service has to be delivered to the citizen. In addition, the citizen will be able to track his/her application and will be kept informed on the progress through SMS alerts.

During the inauguration Shri Dwivedi asked the officials to strictly follow the specified time lines so that the citizens can get the maximum benefit from the new system. With the web based system in place, the applicant just needs to visit the nearest Kiosk along with required documents to apply for a service. The application is filled online by the kiosk operator and the required documents are scanned and attached with the application. The certificates are delivered from the Kiosk itself. The computerized certificates will also restrict the issuance of fake certificates as in the new system the certificate number will be automatically generated by the system and anyone can verify the authenticity of the certificate/service using  the number on the uponline portal.

The district administration has decided to open the kiosks in all the tehsils of the district and replace existing manual system by the new electronic process. The administration has also proposed to include services like electricity bill payment and railway reservation at these single window Kiosks. Shri Shiv Shanker Gupta, SDM, Shri Dinesh Singh, Tehsildar Sadar and Shri Danish Faizan, District Informatics Officer, NIC were also present during the inauguration.
