Training workshops and hand holding sessions were held in all the districts in Uttar Pradesh in September – October 2012 for streamlining the implementation of the eForms, SSDG & State Portal project in the state. The handholding workshops were aimed to reduce the pendency of applications by bringing all the stake holders to a common platform and resolving the issues of Common Service Centre Operators, officials of line departments and district administration.

In the last three months, since its launch on 1st August 2012, more than 9 lakh 16 thousand applications have been received from nearly 7500 Common Service Centres and Lokvani Centres in the 66 districts of the state. Out of these 7.80 lakh applications have already been disposed through the system and the services delivered to the citizens from the nearest CSC.  The maximum 4.12 lakh applications have been received for Issuance of Income Certificate, 2.63 lakh for issuance of Domicile Certificate, 2.09 requests for issuance of Caste Certificate & 16,031 applications for issuance of copy of Khatauni (RoR). Currently 26 services pertaining to ration card, pension, social welfare, handicap welfare, employment etc can be obtained through the online system.

Some of the districts such as Ghazipur (153504 applications), Gonda (97908 applications), Jaunpur (02816 applications), Farukkabad (66068 applications) and Mau (54728 applications) have done exceedingly well and adopted the new system very fast.  While in some districts there minor issues (administrative & technical) that were sorted out during these workshops.  Officials from line departments offering services under the project, district administration, Disrtrict NIC Officials and Lokvani/ CSC operators participated in these workshops and sorted out the issues and prepare action plans to successfully implement the project in the entire state.

The state government too has accorded top priority to this IT based project and regular monitoring is being carried out at different levels within the government to make it a success.
