Prior to the launch of state portal, SSDG and eforms training sessions are being conducted in the state. These training sessions are aimed to introduce government officials and employees to the electronic workflow and use of Digital Signatures for approving the certificates & services. A workshop was conducted at Lakhimpur Kheri on 17th July 2012, aimed to impart training to the participants on eForms and digital signatures. The project will make the delivery of government services easier and simpler. Earlier people from far-flung areas had to travel across long distances and visit several government departments in order to get their work done. Understanding the problem of citizens the government decided to provide 26 selected services to people from Common Service Centres / Lokvani Centres being established in the villages and urban areas in the district. After the launch of the project, a common man can get access to these services on 24 hr basis and at the location near to his/her place of residence.

As per the government guidelines birth, death, income, caste, domicile certificates pension, employment, ration card and other social welfare schemes will be provided initially. Gradually the list of these services will increase based on requirement of the citizens.

DM Lakhimpur Kheri, Shri Abhishek Prasad inaugurated the training session at Kheri while senior district officials participated in the day long event.
