Workshop cum training at NIC, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh
The National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) of Government of India aims to serve the common man by providing them the facility to access government services from the nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs). The state portal, SSDG and eform project in Uttar Pradesh seeks to automate 26 government services of 8 departments and make them available to the citizen right at their doorstep. The project will allow the people to apply for a service at the village level CSC and receive the certificates from the same location.
A two day workshop was conducted on 20th & 21st July 2012, at Swan Centre, Meerut. District & field level officials and employees of the concerned line departments participated in the workshop. Presentations and hands-on training was provided to the employees to make them well versed with the new working environment. As per the guidelines of government all sorts of certificates like birth, death, domicile, caste, income & pension are being covered in the project.
With the implementation of the new system the rural mass will not have to travel from their villages to tehsil or district Hqrs in order to submit application forms and receive certificates/ services.
