e-PRI District / UT Level Workshop at Daman (UT of Daman & Diu)

A one-day work shop under the ePRI project was held on 25th August 2009 at the Conference hall, Secretariat, Daman, under the chairmanship of the Secretary, Panchayat of the UT of Daman & Diu. The UT HQ and the District HQ are the same and hence, the audience of the workshop was of UT as well as District level officers. In addition to the Secretary, Panchayat, Shri J. B. Singh, IAS, who is also the Collector of Daman, the key attendees were Shi Vikas Anand, IAS, (Secretary, Health & Director, IT), Shri KJR Burman, DANICS, (Special Secretary, Panchayat & Secretary, Education), Shri Pankaj Kumar, DANICS, (CEO, Panchayat), Ms Chanchal Yadav, (IAS Probationary). All Line Department s HODs were present in the workshop. Apart from them, some Sarpanchs and Village Panchayat Secretaries were also present. Shri Utpal Mehta, DIO and Shri Nitin Bamania, DIA participated from the NIC. Shri S A Khuba, SIO, DD&DNH also participated through Video Conference.   The Consultant team from Wipro Consultancy Ltd formed of Shri Sudhir Madhugiri, Pr Consultant, Ms Priya Jetty, Sr Consultant and Shri Kumar Tarun, Sr Consultant.   Shri Sudhir Madhugiri outlined the brief idea of the project. The as-it-is status of the services, PRI governance and ICT infrastructure was presented. The team presented its findings during the study phase before the audience. The team discussed the status of the devolution of the Fund, Functions and Functionaries to the PRI with the references. Audio Visuals of the field visits and field interviews were also presented.   The key attendees had actively participated in the discussions and also extended their views and validations related to the findings of the study. These were recorded and, in turn, incorporated in the final ISNA report.
