Workshop on e Granthalaya held at Ranchi (Jharkhand)

A workshop on e Granthalaya software was held at Birsa Institute of Technology - Trust (BITT), Getlatu, Ranchi from 22nd to 24th Feb. 2011.  Shri Shahid Ahmad, SIO inaugurated the workshop along with Prof.(Dr.) Sudama Choubey, Director, BITT.

 

Speaking after inaugurating the workshop,  Shri Shahid Ahmad emphasised the need for library automation and praised the institute for taking initiative in organising the workshop. He also highlighted role of NIC in other major e-governance projects in the state.  Prof.(Dr.) Choubey said that his institute has decided to fully implement the - Granthalaya software developed by NIC. He also laid out plans for its implementation and benefits that will accrue to the students as well as the faculty.

 

 e Granthalaya - a library automation software has been developed by NIC Hq. for the automation of in-house activities as well as user service of a Library.

 

The workshop was conducted Shri RK Matoria, TD from New Delhi and Shri Ashok Kumar, SA from Ranchi. Large number of participants attended the workshop from far off places like Allahabad, Arah, Aurangabad, Patna, Saharsa, Samastipur & Sasaram (Bihar), Raipur (Chatishgarh), Sindri apart from Ranchi. The workshop concluded with distribution of certificates to the participants.
