Visit of SIO Telangana to NIC District Centre, Nalgonda

Shri Guntuku Prasad, Senior Director (IT) & State Informatics Officer (SIO), Telangana, visited the NIC District Centre, Nalgonda on March 18, 2025. He was accompanied by Shri Raynil John, Senior Director (IT) & Additional SIO (Districts), and Shri S. Krishna, Senior Director (IT) and Head of the ILRMS & ePDS Divisions.

The team was warmly received by Shri Ganapathi Rao, Senior Director (IT) & District Informatics Officer (DIO), and Shri Aditya Naik Banavath, STA-B & District Informatics Associate (DIA), along with other NIC staff at the district centre.

During the visit, SIO Telangana met with the Additional Collector of Nalgonda district, Shri J. Srinivas (FAC), and held an in-depth discussion on various ICT initiatives and e-Governance projects being implemented in the district. The Additional Collector appreciated the continued ICT support extended by the NIC Nalgonda team, acknowledging their significant role in advancing digital initiatives in the district.

Subsequently, the SIO interacted with the NIC team and reviewed the status of ongoing projects, operational support, and field activities. The team briefed the SIO on key initiatives, including:

  • CPGRAMS - Prajavani: Public Grievance Redressal System
     

  • ePDS: Stock entry and new allotment management at Fair Price Shops
     

  • SCM: Supply Chain Management System for MLS Point allocations
     

  • MDM: Mid-Day-Meal rice indenting by government schools
    .

  • IRAD: Training and support for the Integrated Road Accident Database
     

  • ILRMS - Dharani: Support for Land Records Management
     

  • SPARROW & eOffice: Digital support to IAS officers
     

  • ALIS: Arms License Management System
     

  • eSHRAM: Labour insurance enrolment through CSCs
     

  • Skill Tests: Facilitation of exams for government employees
     

  • S3WaaS: Regular maintenance of the district website
     

  • LAQ: Hosting of Land Acquisition Notifications
     

  • Recruitments: Publishing recruitment notices, merit lists, and results
     

  • Social Media: Maintenance of District Administration’s social media presence
     

  • Elections: Polling personnel randomization, webcasting, postal ballot support
     

  • DS Keys: Assistance with procurement of Digital Signature Tokens
     

  • Govt. Email: Support for official email accounts for departments
     

  • VC Services: NIC and other video conference facilitation
     

  • Inspections: Field-level inspections as mandated
     

  • DPC Meetings: Participation as technical committee members
     

  • Training: Assistance to Regional Training Centres for capacity building
     

  • Audits: Physical audit support for NEET centers
     

  • Coordination: Regular liaison with district administration for ICT needs

     

In the concluding session, SIO Telangana reviewed office administration and infrastructure requirements. He appreciated the NIC Nalgonda team's dedicated efforts and contributions to the district's digital transformation. He also encouraged the newly appointed DIA to take proactive responsibility in software development and innovation initiatives.

The visit concluded with the SIO extending his best wishes to the entire NIC Nalgonda team for their continued excellence and service to the district administration.
