National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) has been inaugurated on 18 December, 2024 by Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Hon’ble Speaker Vidhan Sabha and Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Leader of Opposition in presence of all the Hon’ble Members of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

With the Launch of this application, Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly officially migrated from the existing e-Vidhan System to NeVA. It is a flagship Mission Mode Program under Digital India Initiative and aims to fulfill the One-Nation One-Application dream of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi.

It is a web-based suite of applications and mobile apps which aims to make the functioning of Legislatures in online, efficient and paperless mode. Hosted on the state-of-the-art NIC Cloud MeghRaj, this work-flow based system is developed using latest technologies to help the Chair of the House to conduct the proceedings of the House smoothly, Hon’ble Members to carry out their duties in the House efficiently and to conduct Legislative Business of the House in a paperless manner. The main objective of this application is to create a common data repository by removing the complexities of different systems and bringing all the Legislatures of the country on a unified platform.

It provides a comprehensive and user-friendly digital platform for streamlining Legislative processes to enhance efficiency, collaboration and transparency for all the stakeholders. Key features include Bills Management System; Online Legislative Committees; Online handling of questions and notices; E-Book; E-Voting; E-Attendance; E-Pads for internal communication; Business Controller; Digital Display; Talk Time Management modules and numerous House Productivity Reports etc.

The Winter Session of HP Vidhan Sabha has been conducted smoothly at Tapovan Dharamshala, HP from 18 to 21 December, 2024 using NeVA application.
