Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K Sh. Manoj Sinha today on 24/03/2021, launched 14 e-Services for all 78 Urban Local bodies of J&K Union Territory. The launch ceremony was attended by Chief Secretary J&K Shri B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department Sh. Dheeraj Gupta, Municipal Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Ms. Avny Lavasa, Director Urban Local Bodies of Jammu as well as Kashmir. Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Srinagar Municipal Corporation also witnessed the event.

All the 14 e-Services have been designed and developed using ServicePlus framework of NIC as a part of eService projects initiated by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.

The launch ceremony was also attended by Senior Officers of National Informatics Centre HQ through Virtual mode. Sh. Vishu Chandra, Scientist-‘G’ , Sh. Pardeep Gupta, Scientist-‘F’ & Sh. Mritunjaya Singh, Scientist-‘E’ attended from NIC MoHUA. Mrs. Manie Khaneja Scientist-’G’, Sh. Adesh Chand Gupta, Scientist’F’ participated and represented ServicePlus team.

Sh. Abhay Kumar, Scientist-’G’ & SIO, Sh. Jit Raj, Scientist-’F’, Sh. Saleem Khan, Scientist-‘F’, Sh. Suresh Kumar, Scientist-‘F’ & Sh. Sanjay Gupta, Scientist-‘E’ & DIO Jammu attended the launch ceremony through Physical mode.

At the onset of the launch, Commissioner JMC gave a brief presentation about all the 14 services being launched and proposed new services to be launched in due course of time which was follows by a formal launch by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor. She also extended her gratitude to entire NIC team who was involved in the project for the last 4-5 months.

Hon’ble LG extended his gratitude and appreciation towards Secretary & Other Senior Officers of MoHUA, Government of India, Housing & Urban Development Department J&K UT, National Informatics Centre for their untiring efforts in bringing these services for the benefit of citizens. Following is the list of services which were launched today for all 78 local bodies of J&K UT.

1. Application for Correction in the Existing Birth Record.

2. Application for Issuance of Birth Certificate and Inclusion of Child Name in the Existing Record.

3. Application for Issuance of Non-Availability Certificate of Birth Record.

4. Application for Issuance of Death Certificate.

5. Application for Issuance of Non-Availability Certificate of Death Record.

6. Application for Correction in the Existing Death Record.

7. Application for No Objection Certificate for Commercial Establishments.

8. Application for Mobile Tower Installation Permission.

9. Dairy Registration.

10.Grant of License for Pet Shop, Pet Trade and Clinic.

11. Registration of Pet Dogs.

12. Application for Road Cutting Permission.

13. Application for Sewerage Connection.

14. Application for Issuance Street Vending / Rehari License

All the fourteen services support online application by the applicants as well service delivery to the applications electronically. Digitally signed documents are delivered to the applicants. Requisite payment for each and every service has also been facilitated online through an integrated payment Gateway. eMail and SMS alerts have also been provisioned in all the services which are triggered at various levels of application processing.

The entire team of ServicePlus headed by Sh. D.C. Misra, Scientist-‘G’ and Mrs. Manie Khaneja, Scientist-‘G’ under the overall guidance and support esteemed Director General NIC, had been instrumental in rolling out these services swiftly.
