Being in the scientific fraternity, specifically in ICT Sector, NIC with its techno- scientific professionals, state of the art techniques and approaches, has its National presence in almost each and every socio-economic area for more than 40 years. “The InfoNIC”an e-Governance Newsletter of NIC Chhattisgarh is an effort to bring forth the activities and achievements of NIC, Chhattisgarh in print and electronic Media format.

The first issue of “The InfoNIC” was launched by Dr. Kamal Preet Singh, IAS, Secretary, General Administration Department, Food and Transport, Government of Chhattisgarh on 14-Jan-2021 in a small and graceful programme held at the Conference Hall of NIC State Centre, Chhattisgarh.

Initiating the programme, Dr. A.K. Hota, Scientist-G and SIO, welcomed Dr. Kamal Preet Singh, IAS, with flower bouquet. In his welcome addressDr.Hota, briefly highlighted the recent activities of NIC Chhattisgarh and contribution of NIC District Centres. He mentioned about Digital Mobile Governance Challenge, Capacity building programmes, and national products like Sandesh (GIMS), eCabinet, VLTS etc.

Joining on the occasionShri Sanjay Kapoor, DDG and State Coordinator welcomed the Secretary and discussed onSwagatam – Visitor Management System. Terming this to be a  unified and centralized application he said it could be easily implemented in Secretariat, any Government offices or  Bhawans.

In his address Dr. Kamal Preet Singh, IAS, accorded and acknowledged the contribution of NIC Chhattisgarh rendered in the field of ICT support and project management for the Government of Chhattisgarh. He wished that “The InfoNIC” will not only showcase best IT practices in Govt. sector but also act as a platform to share innovations and technical developments.  He asked NIC to look at managing legacy data, developing user-friendly interfaces and making data available in case of centralised applications.

Shri T.N. Singh, Scientist-F and ASIO (State) offered Vote of Thanks. All NIC District Centre officials were connected through Video Conferencing.The programme was anchored by ShriSatyesh Kumar Sharma, Scientist-E.
