Haryana ICT Support in the 046 Ellenabad constituency Bye Election

The 046-Ellenabad constituency Bye Election was held on 20 January 2010, wherein 15 Candidates contested.This constituency comes under the District Sirsa of Haryana State. NIC District Centre, Sirsa was entrusted to provide the ICT support during this Assembly Bye Election 2010. Major activities which are accomplished during Election process include the following
 

  1. The software as developed by NIC HRSC Chandigarh was used during this election and Randomization of Polling staff was carried out for further deployment on 11 January 2010.
  2. Arranged Video conferencing for District Administration and Observers as scheduled by Election Commission of India on 13 January 2010.
  3. All necessary reports like Duty Assignment Reports, Duty Orders, Counting Party List and attendance sheets were given to the concerned staff to enable them to deploy the employees to respective counting tables.
  4. A media and a counting centre was set-up with ICT infrastructure like Computer Systems, Printers, Fax, Photo Copier, Data Cards and Broadband Facility.
  5. Data entry and Transmission of Pre Counting as desired by Election Commission of India through Genesys Software.
  6. Transmission of round-wise counting results and Final Result through Genesys software on the day of counting i.e. 23 January 2010.
  7. Online Results were also displayed in the counting hall through projector.  

    All activities were completed smoothly and the support was highly appreciated by District Administration, Sirsa.
