Leh-Ladakh, 17th April, 2020: Mr Sachin Kumar Vaishya IAS,  District Magistrate/Chairman, DDMA, Leh Ladakh, inaugurated the e-Pass services today on 17th April 2020 in the presence of Moses Kunzang (ADDC, Leh), Rigzin Spalgon (ACR, Leh), Jigmet Namgyal (CCF, LAHDC, Leh), Dr Zulfiqar Ali(Accounts Officer to DC/CEO, LAHDC, Leh) and Tashi Tundup (ADIO, NIC, Leh). "People can now apply for Curfew passes online”. In order to ease out the system for issuing emergency movement passes and to mitigate hardships being faced by the general public especially the patients, laborers, Govt. employees, and stranded people, etc. in the aftermath of lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The URL of ePass https://leh.nic.in/epass/.

With the launch of E-pass services in the district, passes for movement during the lockdown period for various emergency situations can be applied online by following a simple procedure.

Now after the launch of this ePASS facility, any person in a situation of emergency can now apply online by going to the web site https://leh.nic.in/epass/ and clicking on the link ePASS service. The applicant will then be redirected to a web site for filling some details like their own particulars, purpose for which the pass is required”.

 

Deputy Commissioner Leh Mr. Sachin Kumar Vaishya, IAS, appreciated the services provided by NIC HQ New Delhi, SIO NIC J&K and particularly officers of NIC Leh for bringing the application to work in just two days after discussion. Lauding the efforts of NIC, Leh headed by Punchok Paldan, Scientist-E/DIO, NIC Leh in implementing the e-Pass application.
