In a significant step towards strengthening digital governance in higher agricultural education, the Hon’ble Agriculture Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Ramvichar Netam, launched the AI-enabled dynamic web portal of Mahatma Gandhi Udyanikee Evam Vanikee Vishwavidyalaya (MGUVV).
The newly launched portal, available at mguvv.ac.in, has been designed as a comprehensive digital platform to provide students, faculty members and other stakeholders with seamless access to academic information and services. Equipped with an interactive user interface, the portal offers round-the-clock access to university resources and incorporates multilingual capabilities to cater to a diverse user base.
The portal serves as a centralized academic information repository, providing details of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in horticulture and forestry. It also features faculty profiles, research achievements, patents, publications and academic activities, enhancing transparency and accessibility. In addition, a digital scholarship management system enables students to submit applications online, upload supporting documents and track the status of their applications in real time.
The initiative marks a major milestone in advancing smart academic administration and digital transformation at MGUVV. The implementation of centralized digital modules, automated academic processes and citizen-centric e-Governance features was undertaken under the leadership of Dr. (Prof.) Ravi R. Saxena, Vice Chancellor, MGUVV.
The project was successfully executed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Raipur. The portal was developed under the guidance of Shri T. N. Singh, Deputy Director General and State Informatics Officer, Chhattisgarh, and Shri P. Rama Rao, Senior Technical Director, with support from Shri Abhijeet Kaushik, Joint Director (IT), NIC Chhattisgarh.
