NIC Manipur Conducts Training on New EPMS Application for COHSEM Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya along with Cabinet Ministers and senior officials during the launch of the Meghalaya eCabinet platform in Shillong

In a landmark step towards paperless governance, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya launched the Meghalaya eCabinet in Shillong on September 30, 2025, in the presence of Cabinet Ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, and representatives from the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

Developed and implemented by NIC, the eCabinet platform marks a major stride in administrative modernization by digitizing the entire cabinet process—from agenda preparation and circulation of notes to recording decisions and generating minutes—all through a secure digital workflow.

The system is designed to minimize paper usage, streamline communication, and enhance decision-making efficiency within the state government. By automating approvals and documentation, eCabinet significantly reduces turnaround time for governance processes and ensures greater transparency, accountability, and eco-sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister lauded the initiative as a transformative step in Meghalaya’s governance journey. He emphasized that eCabinet aligns with the Government’s vision of a technology-driven, efficient, and transparent administration, empowering departments to collaborate seamlessly through digital means.

NIC officials demonstrated the features of the platform, highlighting its secure design, real-time access to cabinet materials, and user-friendly interface for Ministers and officials.

The launch of Meghalaya eCabinet reinforces the state’s commitment to Digital India, setting a precedent for smart governance and sustainable administration—where every decision, once made on paper, now moves at the speed of technology.
