          Variety Registration

              n September 12, 2023, during the ‘First Global Symposium on Farmers’
              Rights,’ Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, unveiled PARV
         O(Portal to Apply for Registration of Plant Varieties). This user-friendly
          portal was meticulously designed and developed by the Agricultural Informatics
          Division of NIC Delhi for the ‘Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Right
          Authority,’ a part of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
           The launch of PARV took place during the inaugural ceremony of the ‘First
          Global Symposium on Farmers’ Rights,’ organized by the International Treaty
          on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA), FAO, Rome,
          and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government
